I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sitting at my desk in my home office while my little one played upstairs in her room, which was pretty typical for a Sunday afternoon. I was in the middle of working on a few social media posts when the phone rang.
My mom was hysterical and I could barely understand a word she said other than "Krissy, I'm scared."
My dad fell and was found unresponsive. It was in that moment that I was faced with a balancing act unlike any other I'd experienced in the past. At the time, I worked two full-time jobs, the single mom of two, and a mompreneur excited about living in my true purpose.
My life has not been the same since that day. I had to make some tough decisions. I had to delete some activities and delegate others. I wanted to ensure no area of my left fell apart while I stepped fully into what is known as the "sandwich generation" serving as the provider for my children and my parents.
